Michael Thorogood is a young writer from London. Inspired by the likes of Michael Palin and Levison Wood, he first documented his travels over a decade ago, after climbing Ben Nevis with his family. Through his stories of adventure, Michael aims to raise awareness of marginalised groups whose stories are seldom told. His first book, Sahara, Souk & Atlas, tells the tale of the Amazigh, the indigenous people of North Africa, in their struggle for cultural recognition. He is also a cinematic filmmaker whose YouTube videos have been watched by more than 35,000 people. He has two degrees from the London School of Economics and University of Surrey in international development and politics.
